The lid springs of an electric kiln
This is the spring system on a Paragon Ovation glass kiln. I was replacing the lid. The spring system is carefully balanced at the kiln factory. So, if you replace parts in the spring system, use parts only from the original kiln manufacturer. If the spring tension is less than intended, the lid could fall. If more than intended, a gap could appear at the front of the lid.
